Secrets in Plain Sight: Awareness and Consciousness

A distinction can be made between awareness and consciousness. Awareness is the fact of existence, and consciousness is the movement of existence. If we are identified with our consciousness we can never be properly aware.

but, isn't awareness and consciousness directly proportional (expanded consciousness --> helps in expanding awareness)

human mind is conditioned to be consumed in its old patterns. Awareness, continuously, is tough. I notice some relation to breathing uniformly (subtle effects).

awareness is the actualization of truth/reality. Would be nice to continuously aware through out the day. Just like other "states" of mind, i think continuous awareness can be achieved too.

Awareness is simply aware. Awareness can subsume consciousness, with the danger of consciousness feeling inflated: strengthening the not self.
